Do a 100 mile ride.

Going to be tricky as I'm 18/19 stone and have less than 100 miles to my name at the moment.
I am a good bit over that and can do it so you will be able to.

As for my goal this year I have signed up and paid up for a LeJog trip in September.

Beat my mate in the Richmond Duathlon.
Adding another two goals:
Short 17 minute lap of Richmond Park (anticlockwise, starting and finishing at the Roehampton Gate roundabout).
Finish a Cat4 race in the bunch (ie not getting dropped)

While they're different efforts, I would say if you can do the lap you should be OK in the races.

Looking back to when I had a full tilt at the 3 laps in just over 49 mins, I was competitive at 3rd cat level.

For 2015 I'd like to complete 1500 miles, and finish a ride over70 miles. I really need to enter some sportive events this year as I entered none last year. I think that contributed to my lack of activity for the year. Having a new born had completely thrown all of my plans and goals out of the window. I'm grateful for an hour out on the bike. Commuting may be the only way to complete the mileage goal but my stamina over distance needs a bit of work.

Wow - that's 300 miles off road with 37,500 ft of climbing!!! Quickest time for the triple so far is 37 hours and the chap trained 20 hours a week in the run-up to the event! I have to admit that the double is on my bucket list but I don't think I would even entertain the idea of a triple run of it.......good luck if you do give it a go, would love to know how you get on.

That 25 is a bit soft based on the ten target wink

Just get a decent winters training in me then results will hopefully follow. Have managed a good solid 10 weeks or so of some decent riding that could be classed as training for once and feel a hell of a lot stronger for it. This time last year (for the number geeks) I had a CTL of only 70 and this years its at 113 and thats with my FTP set 15w watts higher.

Looking to hopefully to podium in a 2/3 RR and top 20 in a Nat B.

I'm riding the Etape this year. I'm not overweight, but I am also not particularly fit. I plan to train, I need to educate myself in modern training methodology (I've a tendency to go flat out all the time)

Should be interesting...

HAHA, we'll see, not really done a flat 25 before, so not really able to compare, plus my hour efforts still require work!

No reason to shaved legs in cyclocross, you need something for the mud to stick to.

Have a MTB cost to coast for charity in June, so that will be my goal. 2nd one, arranged by a few mates.

The last one was off road from Llandudno to Port Talbot over 5 days, nearly killed me!

I have only one goal for this season which is to earn a point/points in a crit or road race.

To achieve it though I need to work on a whole bunch of things. Lose a little weight, work on bike handling and get my fitness to a level where I can comfortably get round in the bunch. Sounds deceptively easy when put like that!

1). Get down to 75 kilos. (Currently 85 kg)

2). Get at least 3000 miles for the year - small fry for some on here, but a step in the right direction for me - hopefully will do more.

3). Am signed up to the RideLondon, so the century will take care of itself - however, am at a level of fitness now, that means I want to do it in a good time as well as just finishing.

This is pretty much my Goal, my last year was around 1600 miles so is a big step up.

I have achieved the 50mile / week for the past 2 months (apart from 1 week of illness which I made up for the following with a 100 mile week)

All MTB unless I buy myself a new Road Bike.

If I do get a road bike, I could then target a couple of old KOM's I had..

Wife has slimmed down from a 12/14 to an 8, if not smaller.

I resolve to mirror her. Low cal diet, 3 mile walk every lunchtime, cycling at the weekends and using the exercise bike at home a lot more!

But other than the usual. I've been stagnating at work for 4 years. Need to kick the career up a notch. Trouble is, I love the company I'm at, so I'm going to have to create the role rather than just apply for it, but I'm formulating a plan.

Oh, and continue to keep my 10 month kid alive. Done well so far. Plan is to continue the success.
