I tried fitting it today and came across the most stupid of issues. How the hell do you remove a pedal from a Cube Peloton Pro. I'm using Shimano SPD pedals. I tried following the instructions, but had no joy. I'm fairly certain I'm being a berk but would appreciate some assistance.

Pedal spanner, remember the left hand pedal goes the opposite way:

But why do you need to remove the pedals?

Cheers for that, the Wahoo has a crank magnet that needs to be fitted.

Cheers, I'll remember to fit that before I fit the pedals to my new bike next week then.

Got the Blue SC, the Reflkt + and the HRM, and a waterproof iPhone case and mount too. No excuses for me now!

Use the spanner, but press it with your foot. Safer than hands with those chainwheel teeth nearby.

For a really stubborn one, I've used a piece of metal pipe over the spanner to give it extra leverage. Sometimes it needs some persuading with a lump hammer to break the "lock".

I had the same problem when fitting my wahoo magnet, I used GT85 and spanner hammer combo! You can get a magnet that sticks on the back of the pedal thread and it looks better too.

It's a spray, a bit like a WD40 alternative. I'd use a proper penetrating oil like Plus Gas if it were me.

As above, and frustrated that it had already taken nearly half an hour I used the only penetrating oil I had which was GT85 (free from Halfords on O2 priority app) and it did the trick wink

Well the sensor is now on, the replacement turbo trainer is here and setup.

Neil, I can get the cadence working, but the speed sensor is not playing ball. Did you have any issues with yours?

I had one, initially the speed sensor didn't work either to start with either. I checked the magnet was In that little groove on the spoke and rotated the main sensor toward the spokes (1-2mm). Cadence appears to work over a large gap that the speed.

No issues, it took a while to adjust it so pedal and magnet were close enough but it worked first time.

I needed to loosen the arm and move it quite close to the wheel magnet. It has worked perfectly since then.
