Hi all
just wondering how many people on here ride look pedals and if so how long do they last....mine seem to get stiff and run rough after what I think is a short time. Am looking to strip mine down over the weekend to clean up and check the bearings...I have two sets that are playing up at the moment, one set is only 6 months old but have been ridden in wet conditions.

I ride with them albeit no often and their fine. I changed to them to give a wider platform for my foot which kept going cold on rides. It was suggested thst the spds weren't giving me the support my foot needed, haven't looked back since.

I've been running my Look pedals for about 4 years doing approx 5k miles all year round. Still spin fine.

I've ridden Looks for about 15 years. Never had any real issues. Just have to tighten them up on occasion. I have a set of base KEO classics on my fancy-schmancy bike and have never seen the need to upgrade to anything newer or lighter.

Just a thought - do you use a hose on the bike?

I normally treat my roadbike terribly / ride it in all weathers, and don't clean it (except the drivetrain - fastidious about that working just so). The one time I got back from a disgusting ride and thought I'd actually treat it a bit better I the muck of at the outside tap, dried it all off and put it away. Dragged it out the next saturday and found the rear wheel bearings were knackered - seems the hose forced water in where it was not supposed to be. Last time I clean a bike wink

Yes bud I do....But I thought I was careful with it, maybe not so as im rebuilding the headset on my winter bike as that too has seized up actually breaking the crown race.will be more careful on my good bikes
