4 bike carrier
Discussion
I'm looking for a 4 bike carrier to fit on a towbar. The bikes are 2 adults, 2 kids (20 & 24 inch) but I want this a long time and the kids bikes will 'grow' when they become teenagers in a few years.
My thinking is the more expensive sit on type (first 3 below)or are the hang on types (fourth one below)ok and stable enough? I am edging towards the Thule G6 but interested to hear whether the Ateras are better or any pros and cons. It is to go on a Subaru Forester (the newer model so quite high and I don't want to be struggling with 4 bikes on the roof).

I have a variant of the Thule from several years ago
It has reliably dragged 4 carbon bikes to the Alps on several occasions and 4 clunking MTB's around the muddy bits of the UK even more times
I'd buy the same again in a heartbeat if I needed to, which I hopefully wont as its built like a tank
