Diamond Back have upped their game a lot in the last few years, and now sell some good completes with a good component spec, obviously at the sub £200 point it may have more Hi-Ten tubes than you'd like, but it'd be a good starting point. wink

Ended up getting an 'as new' KHE Goldie from another forum member - chromoly frame and bars and a 3-piece crank.

He loves it and has been out all over the place on it over the past couple of days - so money well spent in my book.

Thanks for all the advice imparted - much appreciated thumbup

That was an addition by the previous owner - will probably get rid of it once he is used to it.

The LumberBlacks signature frame; can't go wrong it's essentially S&M Dirtbike geometry...but as said front brake removal FTW smile

biggrin

Shaun Butler was a highly influential racer turned dirt jumper in the nineties, once of his nick names was the Lumber Black. He rode for a company called S&M Bikes, their most famous and successful frame was called the Dirt Bike which Butler rode. The KHE has the same geometry as the dirt bike so will feel nice to ride. Phew smile
