I got a some magnesium V12's recently and was a bit disappointed to see the grease port that the old V8's I had has gone. Have all the more recent design V12's lost the grease port? I thought the grease port was probably the reason my V8's have managed to last the best part of a decade.
My girlfriend bought v12s very recently and they definitely had the grease port.
V12's run sealed bearings so shouldn't have a grease port???

You are mistaken, V12s have never had grease ports.

grease ports were only ever on the V8s because they had open cage bearings

Ah ok so sealed cartridges in the V12's and I guess good quality as people say they last well, I assumed they'd be the same as V8's just lighter materials / slimmer.

yeah V12s are the business. I have found that the finish on mine isn't particularly hard wearing however, but as I am not super fussy about my bikes' appearance this doesn't bother me much
