Free hub has died

The free hub on my Boardman Road Sport has died. I'd like to have a go at replacing it but have no idea how to find out what part I need. The make of free hub is not listed on the spec. Any suggestions or do I need to just get the broken one off and take it too a shop?

if the make is not listed that probably means its an unbranded OEM one.

depending on what freehub system it uses and exactly has gone wrong that could well mean curtains for the hub I'm afraid

Got a whole new wheel in the new as I couldn't get a new freehub at short notice.

Now I have my old wheel and plenty of time to have a play and work out how the bits all go together.
Getting back on the bike afer it was repaired it was obvious that the hub had been dragging for while.
