I'm 46 and there is a downhill track 300yds from my house

I had 35km on a Niner RIP RDO, more trail than DH, but very different to my normal hardtail (tragically retired with a cracked frame) .... So wanted to prove I didn't want a more trail focussed full susser.
Still going hardtail, but what a laugh. Sections where the hardtail had to be 'managed' the Rip was just a point ride, hold on, remember to look further ahead and enjoy it.
Great fun, but most of my riding is really XC with limited technical trails, but I have to say it was an absolute blast.
I am sticking to the 2 bike plan. Currently without 1 at all
I'm 42 in June as a gauge of my willingness to launch myself down a wet jungle rock garden like today .... It was such a laugh.
