So this is coming up again in September - is anyone doing it?

I've done a couple of 180s and did 280 London to Paris last week - wondering what next and I'm thinking a target of 350 miles on the 24 might be a nice challenge.

I'm well aware of the topography - guys who have ridden brands before - does it really feel mostly up hill?

I am.

I did start another thread for this year (a few weeks ago) but it seems to have died

I rode the six, it's bloody intense, Druids peaks at 17% and you get a short recovery before the next kicker out onto the GP, then up, down, round onto the run into the start/finish, before you know it (7-8 mins later), there's that bloody Druids again.

The recovery periods are so short you really need to metre your effort, I went out too hard and after 3 1/2 hours of the 6 I'd had enough.

That being said I'd happily ride it again as part of a 4 man relay, short stints would make it more palatable, unfortunately it clashes with an Alpine extravaganza this year.
