Jay from Revolve24 was kind enough to call me this afternoon to talk through the event and explained their financial model (which he really didnt have to do!) I really hope we can get a few teams as I think it will be worth it.

For those of you who are BC members, keep an eye out for Thursday's members email wink

I suggest any interested parties reconvene here having read the email.

Looks reasonable compared to the 24 Hours at Le Mans entry fees which don't include any accomodation or food.
But do you get a Le Mans start running across the track in cleats?

Celtic Dragon, Gentlemen PistonHeaders. I like it. Your Le Mans analogy describes exactly what I was thinking of. If CoolC joins us as well we'd be close to quorate already smile

Pablo, I'm not in BC (just LVRC and TLI). Could you post details of the email when it comes? It might tip me into joining the big boys too.

Like the sound of it but then there is radamring (sp?) which is both established and at the 'ring! everyone I know is too chickenst but I'd be up for a 4 man team as long as the other 3 didn't expect too much of my actual cycling wink

That sounds interesting too. And it's less expensive. I've got something on that weekend already though. Next year?

^ I like continental road trips, driving on the wrong side of the road and Autobahns. So Man Maths dictates that all travel costs be ignored. smile

Morning All. I know a number of you expressed an interest to attend the Revolve24 event at Brands Hatch. Revolve24 have an early bird offer of 10% Off entry fees using discount code ACTIVE10. There is also an exclusive 20% Off offer for British Cycling club members only using discount code BC200515. Both offers expire at the end of May '15. As it is a hassle for someone to take on the role of team manager and organise a team, the first person registering and creating a team of 4 or more gets a free Revolve24 CASTELLI cycling jersey worth £100!!! http://revolve24.com/registering-a-team

So what do we think?

A team of keen racing snakes, and a team of not quite as quick fatties generously proportioned chaps?

I'm in the latter group.

Hi Guys. We have been listening to feedback over the last couple of months and we have decided to adjust our pricing to allow more people to attend the event. Up until now our entry fees have been fully inclusive of camping, food and drink, 24 hour water and energy snacks, as well as a sports massage. As I am sure you can appreciate an iconic, well maintained circuit like Brands Hatch is not cheap to hire for a weekend! We have therefore adjusted our price by stripping out the food and drink package (24 hour energy snacks and water will be available to ALL participants) and the sport massage and we have made these items optional extras. This has allowed us to reduce the entry fee by £50.00 per rider. If you do buy the inclusive package the saving is £20.00 per rider. I hope this makes sense and makes the event more within the price range of all. We really don't want this to be an event for the few. Cheers J

That suits me well. I never make use of supplied food on cycling events so it always smarts to pay for that. Happy to pay a fair value to ride Brands though. Hopefully we can pay for massage on an ad-hoc basis?

You can buy massage vouchers at the booking stage, along with other things, but I'm having a faff registering a team at the moment as there appears to be a glitch with the booking system.... if it gets fixed I'll report back with news. I'm keen to take advantage of this 20% BC discount and I think we have at least half a four man team now...

I'm busting to start the inevitable list, but I'm still in the process of trying to gee up a few mates to create a team.

If that doesn't happen, then I'm keen to be in a non-racing snake PH team.
