thumbup If we get enough PH interest, we could probably have a pit garage of our own...
That'd be very useful smile Are they sold or allocated on numbers? How much / how many riders would we need?

I dont know to be honest, I'l lemail and ask, currently we have a team of four, a soloist (mad bd) and you so we can start asking questions as to the viability of a PH garage...

I don't see why not. There are ~40 teams as far as I can tell. Even if that jumps to 50-60 with the new 6hr entrants we'd still have 3 of those teams. There's got to be at least 25-30 garages at Brands. I'm sure a few will be occupied by sponsors and partners, but it doesn't seem an unreasonable request. Especially if PH can supply some PH bunting. I wonder if there's even mileage for some editorial given it's Brands?

I expressed early interest and am still keen but I binned all my big stuff this year to spend bike time with my lad (only get to do that once and when he's off doing women and uni I'll get my bike time back) as a result I'm not fit enough to compete but able enough to partake.
I'd happily do a crew chief role if it's needed too.
J, I jumped in with my solo 6-hour entry in case places were limited. But if you wanted to make half a duo team doing 1 hour on / 1 hour off for the six hours that'd be good too smile

Been mulling this all day, think I'd be up for a 6hr stint and see how far past 100 mi I can go. Hope we'd be allowed in saturday to spectate, support, banter the rest.

The gorgeous, lovely, wonderful people at Revolve are giving us a pistonheads pit garage.

If you are entering either the 24 or 6 hour event, put pistonheads down as your cycle club when you register and they will know which pit garage to allot you to.

Even better! I can sit on until you drop me (which will be just after the climb up to Druids starts on the first lap).

Bloody well done for sorting that, Pablo. thumbup I've logged back in to my registration and edited my details accordingly.

I am also signed up as part of a 2 man team "The Great Whites".
I've just changed my club to Pistonheads so hopefully will be allocated to the PH pit garage.
It'll be just like Le Mans, maybe wink

Yay, the more the merrier.

One thing though. That now means 9 PH entrants so my idea of making "race numbers" has started to look expensive.

I have the plastic and the clamps (I've also thought of a nice way to sort out the aero posted boys) but I'd now need ~£40 worth of stickers frown

Does anyone know any of the PH top brass who could chuck a load of stickers our way? wink

I've dropped James an email. Brands isn't short on parking so I even wonder if we can encourage a mini Sunday Service to support our riders. I'm sure the organisers would be quite happy to have more visibility and to encourage spectators.

65m of climbing per lap, according to the email they just sent out. That's 136 laps to tick off an Everest of Brands Hatch. Or 531km, requiring a race average of 22.12kph.

I've ridden the indy circuit on a bike, and the thing that annoyed me most was druids, purely because it was leg sapping! You try to get lots of speed on the way out of paddock hill, to carry it as best you can, but always had to change into the small ring at the front - only to change back again at the apex of druids! Every lap without fail that will be (unless you want to ruin your legs). Or you have far stronger ones than I biggrin
