Good work, that is decent, I didn't do much quicker than that in my roadbike days!

I had a race today on my old club ten course https://www.strava.com/activities/374934447 - I suspected it would be a bit warm from the forecast, but that was super WARM, pleased to manage decent power in that heat and beat my course PB which was a bit soft but all good. I'll be gunning for Hutchinson's coure record next year. I won by over a minute, but that is less of an interest apart from the monetary reward of course!

First go with clip-on bars on my road race bike tonight, managed 22.31 (2nd) in our local 10 on the Prestwold circuit. Nasty headwind round the back of the circuit made pacing really difficult. Lots of reasons why I can get faster so I'm tempted to give it more of a proper go next season.
That's a staggering time on a road bike. Good work!

Thanks guys, I'll be giving it more of a go next year trying to drag myself away from road racing. Such a different discipline, I have much to learn.

ETA I turn 40 next month so I guess I'll be a vet too.

I did my best TT's when I was 45 its much easier to punish yourself than have some snotty nose kid rip your lungs out

Not often you do 392W and come 10th lol!

Strong field today at the national championship 10, super close between 6th-10th, fairly happy with my ride but always want more.

Power was good but need to find some more time, another aero session over winter will hopefully find some more speed etc.

I finished my Sunday ride with a go at HCC175, it from the top of Beacon Hill (Farnham) down to Odiham and back. Reasonably happy with 26min 13 considering this was after a 65km ride.

Will probably go out mid week in the evening when the weather is better after a shorter warm up and without 2 bottle 1/2 full! I hope the majority of times on Strava are on TT bikes.

They will be, it used to be a pretty popular club course (never opens, I think its too short, or something) but the events have dwindled a bit I think. Its a pretty fast course, not a lot else round those parts as quick, for obvious reasons.

Yes the start is pretty good, its keeping the pace up!

There is always the other local 10TT between Farnham and Alton, seems you are KOM on that!

One of the annoying things about strava - I'm now 2nd on that segment because the chap in 1st place was doing a 2 up TT with another very quick guy ha!

Pretty average watts for me today, couple of small hold ups, but owing to low wind I managed to better my PB by 2 seconds, which is always nice. Not many 18's done down in this part of the world, so good to stick it to the boys who only ever do fast times on the Hull course wink

(yes I know my previous PB was done on there).

Nice average speed Okgo, cannot even think about doing that sort of speed unless going downhill!

Just a quick shout out for local lad Alex Van Katwyk who claimed 3rd in the recent British junior 10 mile time trial championships. In doing so, he beat Alex Dowsett's 10 year old championship record of 20:41. The lad's only just turned 16!

I might be being stupid - what record did he beat given two lads went quicker than him?

It seems to be the GHS champs, which I don't think is the national champs, which was won by a lad local to me.

Yeah, he was the first rider on the day to beat the record, but you're right, he was beaten by two other lads hence his 3rd place. GHS, not sure how that differs from nationals but you probably know smile.

It seems to be for under 17's only after some googling.

I was thinking about http://www.velouk.net/2015/09/05/rttc-10-mile-cham... - which shows the same bloke who won the event he was 3rd in, so he'd probably be right at the sharp end of the proper jnr champs in the future.
