The strongest TT rider in my club run rides a 21 seomthing... 18 is going some I've done a couple of 10 milers down in Plymouth, on a 5 mile uphill-turn point-back the way you came which seems to be 5 more miles of uphill! Can't remember times exactly but they were around 30 mins. I've done a 25 as part of a triathlon, which came in at around 1.06, but I had a mechanical and a runaway bottle. More recently I completed a 24km in New Zealand. in which I averaged just over 25mph. I've got my sights on a 50 mile in July, which I'm hoping to do in as close to 2 hours as I can.
I"m located in Brighton, and I can't seem to see any regular fixtures. Does anyone know of any? I'd like to do a weekly 10/25 if such a thing takes place down here.
My current gear is an S5 with clip ons for what it's worth. I did the Plymouth TTs/Triathlons on a Planet X Pro Carbon which Supra RD-30 wheels and clip ons. When I bought my S5 back in December I had it properly fitted, and they gave me a shorter stem to use in conjunction with aero bars which makes a massive difference.

Wiki updated. Good call okgo and bravo on that 18 minute 10 even on a drag strip like that it's a hell of a time!
Yeh its a quick course, not quite as quick as the V718 standard, but even still! My 25 time actually ranks me higher on the 'all time' fastest list (I think 22nd since records began, inc Boardman, Dowsett, Yates etc) than the 10 given how common 18's are becoming!Managed a 26:33 on Sunday on the H10/10 course near Windsor on a std road bike - shaved nearly 40's off my previous PB and the conditions this time were wetter/windier, plus I got caught up in a bit of traffic, slightly miffed as I was aiming for mid-25's. On the upside, I did put in a better time than a few guys on TT bikes.
The fastest time was 24:12 put in by a guy in skin-suit, fully kitted out TT bike with rear disc etc, the 2nd fastest time was put in by a fellow club member riding a STEEL roadie on deep rims with 24:35 - but, he feels no pain and was riding a 57t chainring with a 25x11 cassette.

I rode just few 5s and a couple of 10s back in 2008 - I'm able to crack 20 miles in an hour solo on hillier road routes now, so might have another go and see if I can lower the PBs from 26:54 and 13:10.
Planet-X Steath on 50mm carbon tubs, but setup for long rides rather than TTs.
I now have an Aerojacket for the rear, and a pointy hat, which between them might make a difference, too.

Time Triallist here, or attempting to be. Riding a few year old Dolan TT bike with Corima Disc wheel on the rear and 50mm on the front. Not the most aero nowadays with external cable routing, but good first TT bike, as had only been riding a year when I got it. Quickest time last year was 23:15 on P881 course on the A3. Hoping to get under 22 by the end of the year, and will probably look to be getting a new bike for next year.
Season started ok this year, but had a stag do, and lost all form after a few weeks without riding a TT, and then was getting some back and have had to spend a week off the bike with abdominal pain, ending up in a+e, hope to get back on it next week and slowly start building up towards the summer. Planning to get signed up to a few longer hillier courses, as I prefer these due to not having massive outright power, but not being especially heavy. Would like to do a 50 this year!

Waiting for the official listing for today but I'm up on last week!! Woohoo!!!!!!
Difference this week was I was in full winter bibs, tool kit on the bike and a water bottle on the bike. I did neck a gel before the start as I didn't eat before leaving work and thanks to traffic sod all warm up!
