Hi all,

After having got extremely annoyed with Canyon regarding the order of my bike and considering cancelling my order I started looking around for alternatives and I stumbled across this today which looks like a great deal.

http://www.dolan-bikes.com/road/road-bikes/road-bi...

It is more than the £1550 that my Canyon was costing me for the same group set, but the wheels are MUCH better (Zipp 60 Carbon on the Dolan vs DT Swiss R23 on the Canyon). I have done a quick google search on the bike and am a little concerned about the lack of reviews and opinions which exist for the bike.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with Dolan, their customer service or even has a Tuono themselves!!??

Cheers for any responses

Stuart

Yes I have. I just don't like the style of the frames or the paint/graphics on the Rose bikes - all personal preference of course.....

A better comparison for £2k would be the CF SL that comes with Ksyrium wheels. They're a much better all round wheelset than the Zipps which are heavy and likely a handful in strong winds.

What's the issue with Canyon?

The story with Canyon was that I ordered my bike (endurance 9.0) back in January and it was due to be shipped last week. I sent an email the week before asking if it was still due to be shipped on the week scheduled and they said yes. Got an email 5 days later saying that it would be delayed by another 6 weeks!! Meaning that I woyld have waited a total of 22 weeks for my bike!! I sent a scathing email and they basically shrugged their shoulders with their response - not impressed....

No, but they have a real B&M shop and are based in the UK, so giving them a ring and asking them a few questions about the bike may give you an idea.

A good friend of mine has one of these Dolans the SL, his starva is showing that he's clocked up over 10K miles on it and he still loves it !

I know where you're coming from there. It's about time Rose upped their game with the frame graphics and colourways.

I disagree! At least Rose give you a choice that involves red or blue or white ; Canyon are just black/grey/silver with a splash of yellow if you're lucky!

So much 'wrong' in this statement.

Ah well.

I don't think rose are doing much wrong TBH , i've just dropped £2k at them a month ago & i've still got 7 weeks to wait for delivery.

ive got a tuono. i bought it just over a year ago. it's a lovely bike, and a nice middle ground between racer and comfort bike. ive done a few 100 mile rides on it, and its comfy, its also firm on the climbs and out of the saddle. i'd buy it again if that helps?
a friend has also bought one since, his has zipp's on it, he loves it.

Looks nice and doesn't seem over priced, I know very little though!
