I'm still up for Cambridge.
Having my car anywhere but the end means we have more riders than seats, we also have capacity for more to join us with it there.

As long as I get a beer in Moreton and a tea in the Yurt 80 miles in I'm happy, I may have to refrain from the beach as only ever going as far as the cafe has become a thing.

As things stand if Al can't make it we don't need to ride into London, lets wait and see if anyone else is coming?

I'd love to say yes to that lift! but sadly that'd leave 6PB stranded and we can't have that!

Been holding out on replying to the logistics side of things until I heard back from a non PH mate who I ride with every year, he's riding an ideally I'd like to be able to transport him back which means I need my car at the finish as it has the capacity for both of us +3.

6PB I'm proposing we meet at/near Dunwich, you leave a bag of clothes etc in my car and we go back to London in yours. I'll get you home after ride and BBQ.

If this is agreeable we'll also have space for 2 more if anyone wants or we meet some randoms who need space.

The mate I'm riding with lives in London so only needs a lift after, the simplest solution is to leave mine at the beach and use yours to get into town.

Sure, but have you a driveway/porch you could leave it out Fri night, I'll pick it up EARLY Sat AM on the way up. Got plenty space so as big a bag as you like.
I'm quite a way off your route up in Mayfield, there is a spot in Uckfield I could use to leave one which is not too far off track? Or shall I just come down with it (no sweat to do so)

Sorry Swerni, my mobile decided it didn't have a provider in London so I got lost en-route to the Pub and couldn't load PH until it was way too late :/

Had a good time riding this and will do it again, I travelled light and couldn't find my decent santini bibs so did the whole ride in a pair of swimming shorts. Was the first long ride I've done on my GT Grade Carbon and the difference between it and my 23c Obea was night and day, used to get white finger on that on prolonged rides whereas I felt fine (apart from tiredness) the next day. Had to be weary of how much better the brakes are than callipers, you stop so much quicker with discs once you get used to them.

Edited 7 hours of footage today at work as it was quiet afternoon. I did the ride with a couple of mates and one of them was on a 1970's brakeless fixy so I let them set the pace for most the journey.

There's some pistonhead Jerseys near the start of the video but I didn't see anymore once out of London, got to the beach just before 7am and had a couple of pints during the night in the pubs we passed by so did it in a reasonable time.

Arrangements made to leave car at Dunwich and get an organised coach to the start on Saturday here.
May have room back to London/Kent/East Sussex, dependant on demand elsewhere and getting my Saab back from engine surgery in time.
