Dinner reservations makes a lot of sense. There's that pub we stopped at in Moreton last time, but I'll try and find somewhere in town that suits. It'd be better I think to be nearish the start if possible so we can relax until it's time to go. I'll ask around, Google and stuff and if all that fails I can always do a recce round East London one day between now and the event.

A thought. Stage 3 was a club TT shorter at 100 miles, and on that we met to leave at 10am, rode harder than proposed for this leg, also stopped twice, but didn't arrive until, what, 8pm?
If we're concerned about keeping plenty of energy back and having time for a proper meal, those timings would imply we want to be rolling out at 9am latest. If not an hour earlier still, as the extra 10-12 miles would need an extra 50-60 minutes at the easy pace we're talking about. I'm beginning to think richardxjr's suggested time wasn't so early...
On the bright side, there'd be no traffic on the drive up

I'm a bit confused now with who's doing what.
From my view - no way am I riding into London. One steady 100 mile ride through the night is one thing when you are quite fresh, but after you have ridden 100 miles in beforehand? Put it this way, when the Stage 3 guys arrived in London, would you have really wanted to turn around and ride straight back again within a couple of hours?
For me it is not only the two hundred miles... it's the near twenty hours in the saddle!
So could anyone suggest the best way for me to leave my car somewhere where I can get it relatively easily after the finish please, and how best to get into London for the start. I'm happy to come in early Saturday or Friday night.

Funnily enough, yes. I felt great at that point... But then the run into London had been at a moderate pace. It has to be said that I was absolutely cooked prior to the second stop, after I'd bridged from the PH peloton up to the Richardxjr/Gruffy breakaway and tried running with them for a bit before dropping off. I evidentially will need to manage my effort levels much more sensibly but I'm prepared to believe those that tell me a double century is doable, even by me, if the pace is kept low.
It is going to be long day in the saddle though. No getting away from that. But nothing all those Audaxers don't do.
I think the idea is to let everyone know where we'll be refuelling in London, and those that want to ride one way can join us there.

B, the through the night mass ride is the return leg (for us few) London to Dunwich.
We're trying to work out how to leave cars in Dunwich (to bring us and others back home after the night ride) and get back to London with our bikes for the evening start
If you park at Cambridge (or one of the other stations), come into London with us lot on the train, then we can drop you back at the station by car after the night ride.

I was wondering why you'd been quiet on this one
I'll most likely have a spare 6+ hour front light and battery if anyone needs one. Chinese owl melter but decent, one of a pair I've been using for yonks. Just running down, testing and recharging now. Bar mount XML-T6 with remote battery and lead long enough to reach into a saddlepack. Bring a back up commuter one too though.
Please could any PHers have non blinking and not too bright back lights !
