MTB Helmet choice
Discussion
Cheers for the input - update - I've tried my hardest to support my local bike store - however, there are precisely none that stock anything remotely like I want. (I'm near Stratford Upon Avon, the MTB vacuum region, it seems)
I've been to everywhere local and just given up, all I've managed to find is last years' Giro Hex in the wrong size!
Have ordered a couple of MET Parabellums in different sizes from CR to try on. Everywhere is out of the IXS in the colour I want, and ditto the Giro Hex. A1 is out of my price range. The MET seems a bit of a bargain at 65 quid or so. Will see how it fits as I've got a 59cm ish head so I'm in the 'between size' dead zone.

I've got a Fox Flux and to be honest I'm not a great fan of it. I bought off Chain Reaction last year when they had a silly sale price on it, too good to turn down.
I find it just a little bit too heavy. And with the go-pro on it as well I've really got to tighten up the straps.
I'd love a POC Trabec - nothing 'special needs' about them at all As with everything POC though its costly.
Helmets are a very personal choice, try before you buy.

I'm in Coventry and I've found the best bike shop locally to be Leisure Lakes in Daventry.I've been to everywhere local and just given up, all I've managed to find is last years' Giro Hex in the wrong size!

Bache Bro Cycles in Lye (near Stourbridge) and Race Co Cycles stock IXS if you're ever up this way. Relatively short drive also. What colour did you want?
Quite lucky here in West Midlands/Shropshire. I have at least 4 bikes shops all a short ride or walk from work and in Shropshire we have bike shops up and down the county, mostly in Shrewsbury and all stock different things.
