Your picture has confirmed all my thoughts about you as a rider.
If I see you I'll try hold your wheel. If you see me, give me a chance to catch up
Wish I could tell how fast people are by looking at pictures If I see you I'll try hold your wheel. If you see me, give me a chance to catch up
As for how fast, not very - I was crawling my way up The Tumble when that was snapped.......I think that must be my 'riding face' though as almost all photo's of my on the bike look like I'm trying to pass a watermelon!

To offer you all the true race experience, I have parked a motorhome on Box Hill, I am dressed solely in orange and will now proceed to drink copiously for three days whilst listening to bad techno. Come Sunday morning I shall fill a range of containers with piss and throw them at people in Team Sky clothing.... have fun y'all!

It's really annoying that everyone has to register in person - they could easily send packs out by post.
I'm convinced its so they can pitch the show to trade and say 100k visitors will pass through the doors in 3 days which is pretty good for any free to the public show. You'd think they would make it a bigger, better show because of this. The hall is paid for so they could really reduce the cost for the trade stands and encourage far greater attendance. Most trade stands are very expensive and companies/distributors are choosing not to go. The cycle show at the NEC has been woeful for the last few years I attended.option click said:
Was the show the usual fare as in previous years - ie crap?
I was in and out of registration and back on the DLR in about 10 mins - didn't bother looking.

Just about to head down to register and pick up a few last minute bits....
Anybody know if there is free motorbike parking? - loathed to use the DLR when there is a perfectly good motorbike outside the office
I went on my motorbike last year and managed to park for free, but you have to find a marshal who has their brain plugged in.Anybody know if there is free motorbike parking? - loathed to use the DLR when there is a perfectly good motorbike outside the office

Maybe that's no good to you, but there were plenty of people buying.

How is everyone doing breakfast? I need to be out of the house by 3am, but don't ride for another 4 hours after that.
Omelette for breakfast at home and some museli in the car park before riding over to the start?
Sounds perfect to be honest, nutritionally speaking.
I'm 2.5 hours before the start, which is kind of ideal. I'll smash some yoghurt, honey and granola down first thing and then some malt loaf about 90 minutes out. Then nothing until the initial madness has died down - probably 30-40 minutes in.

The show was as bad as most cycle shows to be honest. Wiggle have a big shop there, so can at least look at DHB stuff without ordering and returning. Lots of gels/energy bars to sample. Big Garmin stand if you don't know what an Edge looks like (although the new 20/25 are impressively tiny). Lezyne have tools, pumps, etc at pretty good prices.
Endura stand has factory seconds of their scotch whisky jerseys - picked up a nice Tobermory one with the tiniest little mark on one of the back pockets for a tenner. They probably won't have stock for long though.
