Prudential Ride London 2015

I meant to ask aswell actually and quite an important one - spectators on the day and general traffic of participants, whats it like? Reason I ask is one my wife is thinking of bringing up our kids on the train (both ways) to see me finish and watch the start of the pro race. Also, I am contemplating getting the train back home circa 1300 ish - South West Trains have no bike restrictions whatsoever but I am concerned over mental images of queues of people with bikes fighting to get on trains.
Any one had any experience of this?

Have organised getting the missus yo Park in Richmond and tube across to Green Park. Thought it's got to be easier than driving right in. Any one had any experience of this?

I'm a great tactician so I won't reach air born status until it really matters
Modest too Mildly jealous of those with an early spot, imagine it'll be decent fun on closed roads. Will try and get out at the right times to watch the pro race go out and come back in to central.

I rode some of the route today. That southern 'extension' through Holmbury St Mary to Forest Green and back up Leith Hill is a bit of a bind. Maybe better without the traffic, but heading south is a total bore, save a nice village church or two.
I had to bail on the eastern part out to Dorking though, as I left the house too late to fit it all in.
Look out for the little memorial to Kris Cook at Newlands Corner. He's the chap who collapsed and died at the top of that climb last year. It's only a small 'shrine' - some flowers, two A4 sheets explaining the circumstances and trying to raise funds for Woking Hospice, and a single hospice charity t-shirt. It's on the left, just before the cafe on the corner, so give it a glance, and spare a thought as you pass chaps.

Motorbike parking at Excel is free - down the very far end of the carpark on the upper level.
Only worthwhile thing about the show was watching one of the wiggle honda girls riding rollers - looking around / chatting and actually leaning in for a 'selfie' with some random, all without putting her hands on the bars or stopping spinning. Impressive
