Sagan jumped across the road to get on Greipl's wheel, so essentially had the best leadout going!
Ah didn't see that, but in reality it's obvious isn't it, stay on Greipel's wheel for as long as you can and you will probably finish top three... For Sagan with no lead out, he can pick up easy points using this method...

The difference between the pros and us mere mortals is always interesting.
I started following Greipel on Strava tonight after his win today.
We've done the same number of rides in 2015 so far.
He has done 10 times my mileage and more than 20 times as much climbing though. hehe

Another poor day for Cav too.
His lead out seemed to go too early and faded before the 150-100m to go when he needed it!

I still think Cav is in great shape. He's up against competition that's in great shape too though!

Yeh I still think Cav will nab a stage or two, they didn't get it right again today though, slight uphill and headwind probably contributed to that.

I think they'll find their feet.

Looks like potential for another nervous day today along the coast in the cross winds.

Good call. TinkOff are proving to be adept at managing the echelons and they will look to rip up the peloton as the route hugs the coast.

+1

To sound like Tony Martin, he looked super strong at the finish yesterday

Has anyone been out on the first few stages?

Combined with a Nurburgring trip, then took TDF on Saturday and Sunday.

Fantastic
On Saturday, started out at the finish line, and worked our way round to the start house for the big names.
Sunday, got three drops in.
Rolling start in Utrecht, then Veldhuizen, east of Utrecht, before lepping over to the first dam near Rockanje.
Got piss soaked through, but Rockanje being only 5km from the ferry at Europort, went exactly to plan.

Ooh, and Kraftwerk 3D concert in Utrecht on Saturday night was an awesome icing on the cake.

Sorry for the poor pictures, taken on a phone and compact.
Given where we got to on Saturday, really wish I had taken decent camera.

He looked like he'd been shot out of a cannon yesterday at the end, timed his sprint a second too late otherwise he'd have won by meters!

Sagans awareness of who's around and who's wheel to jump on is brilliant. Wonder how he'd do with a lead out, or if he's better being the lone ranger.

Agreed, plus it's a slight up hill finish, which he excels at

Bet365 has Froome at 4/6f - he can't be that much of a shoo-in, can he?

No, nobody can be.

But you'd be brave to bet against him given what he has shown so far.

Lotto-Soudal's leadout man Greg Henderson has two cracked ribs but that isn't going to stop the Kiwi as he told letour.fr

"It's the breathing that's the problem. If it's just riding along in the peloton, it's alright. But when I go full gas against crosswind or uphill, I can't breathe. I have two broken ribs and they expand so much that I'm in big trouble when it gets super hard. There's an improvement this morning from yesterday morning.
"Yesterday I didn't have a smile on my face because of the cobbles and the bruising that came out from the first crash. I feel better this morning. But I can't even put my clothes on. The way to do it is just to keep suffering, brother… I have five stitches here and two here, but I can't be bothered with those."

Hard. As. Nails.
