The are some big mileages being racked up here. Where do you find the time?

For me, this is without doubt the most riding I've ever done with a total of 4,080kms to date this year (2,535 miles for the imperialists!). Of that only 810kms is off-road frown

As for climbing then the total is 37,731m (or 124.512ft!). All done in 77 rides and 170hrs.

I'm at 4020 miles for the year. I had great intentions at the start of the year but I have really taken my foot off the gas of late, got far too much else going on this year and I have barely been able to manage any weekend rides and have only been able to do 1 TT this year, so I am just bimbling on now with no real direction. Ride London will be my only "thing" this year, after that I may shelve it until next year as we are too busy with a huge house move.

1850 miles so far, just shy of last years total mileage, so I'm happy with my progress.

For me, if i didn't start work sooooooooo early then I'd imagine that my mileage would be much higher.

That Stravistix plug-in is a fun piece of kit.
Now added to my Strava stats and of course discovered that I'm way behind where I was this time last year!

Not great, mostly commuting, lots of fun though, commuting by bike is such an awesome way to start and end the day, No one should under estimate just quite how much time a baby/toddler takes up however! Gruffy, take note!....

Last year I managed 2,405 Kms which is the target this year but I still have this marathon in October and really do need to lock up the bikes and dig out my running shoes...

People without them have no idea! Try having 2, then throw in some 24 hour / 7 days a week shifts. Soon ruins your riding plans.

I've started a month ago commuting 16 miles each day to work once a week, would like to do more but I feel tired in work just doing the one day, worry i'd fall asleep at my desk doing it more frequently.

Third year of Strava membership/GPS ownership for me. I'd not quite broken through the 2k miles per year barrier in those two previous years, but I'm well past that already!

Distance = 2,560.6 mi
Time = 194h 16m
Elev Gain = 129,688 ft
Rides = 89

Nearly 2,000 of those miles have been on a new bike which I've only had for four months, and I've very much enjoyed every single mile on it... smile

Reasonably modest by standards on here

Distance 1,972.7 mi

Time 117h 58m

Elev Gain 67,999 ft (my commute is pan flat - so weekends is only real opportunity for hills)

4 weeks off a little while ago for various reasons, still aiming for 4,000 for the year, so not so VERY far off target.

In contrast - I get around 40% of any elevation I ride deducted on Strava. Over the last few years, anything I do in a group is heavily diminished. Even if I ride a further 20 miles than the group ( 10 miles there and back ) my elevation figures are paltry in comparison.

Therefore I never bother joining any climbing challenges, pointless.

And wow, yes, I am on a downer at the moment. Moan moan moan it may seem, mostly because I am not sure I am where I need to be for the London 100. And as cyclists are, I am very emotional. I can relate to Dowsett.

2015 for me:

85 Rides
86 hours 34 Minutes
939 miles
19058m / 62526ft elevation

Have no target really. Try to commute to work at least 3 times per week and mountain bike whenever possible.

Why don't you use elevation correction in strava then? confused

Also I question being able to relate to someone thats ridden 11 stages of a grand tour, crashed and kept going with a bloody wound despite suffering from hemophilia. Unless of course you have ridden the TDF?

I think you need to chill out and just enjoy riding your bike. Forget the stats.
