Decided to leave a bike in Ireland to save the hassle of transporting it each time. It's done enough work and doesn't owe me much so..

Building a road-ish bike with discs. Looking for the best wheels to run tubeless and wondering of anyone on here has got anything similar? I don't really want tubs, although it's possible to use sealant I suppose? The option of sticking a tube in should a tyre get shredded is still the main reason I am looking at this setup. My experience with Stans rims has been very positive and I read somewhere Zipp have an alloy road tubeless (Zipp 30 Course).

Anyone?

I have just ordered these rims on DA9000 hubs, Malcolm was most helpful and the wheels arrived inside of 8 days not withstanding his 3 week delivery time.

He also builds them up into tubeless and disk compatible hubs.

Pacenti SL25, thanks that's a new one for me. Looks comparable to the Alpha 340?

edit. After speaking to Malcolm he's probably going to get the work smile Both recommended the Pacenti of the Alpha.

Pacenti SL25 28f/28r
Chris King R45's
Laser Spokes

That lot comes in at under the price for the Zipp 30's, pretty chuffed.

Getting GP4000's over the rims will take some practice!

Stans now do a rim called the grail that would work, and you can't go far wrong with hope hubs in my experience.
