After much investigation and deliberation, i've today purchased a Kona Jake the snake cyclocross bike on the cycle2work scheme.

Its green, has 300 off the list price, plus i save a further 32% of the list via the cycle2work scheme.. £900 ish for a £1500 bike with an OK ish spec. Should make the tow path and cycltrack to work a bit easier going than on a full on race bike !

That's good. In my experience the retailer doesn't usually like to do C2W scheme on discounted bikes. Presumably as they take a double hit on the price.

Our C2W scheme will be opening for 2016 shortly. I took a Cannondale CAADX cyclocross bike last time and it has been great bar a b'build issue' with the rear wheel. I'm tempted to go in again and pick up another Cannondale. This time a Synapse Alu (Shimano 105 variant) with disc brakes. It'll take proper mudguards and a 28mm tyre so I'll add those and it'll be a great winter road bike for getting my mileage up. Save wearing our the CX tyres, which i'm about the replace, with more road work over the winter.

Surprised. Most stores insist that the CTW bikes are list price and not 'sale bikes'.

Our company use Evans and in my experience they aren't the most competitive on price.

I bought a Brompton using my voucher and there is generally no discount on Bromptons frown

Absolute disaster - on my part. The 56 is WAY bigger than i expected and unfortunately they dont have any 54's left in stock. Theres literally no gap between my inseem and the top tube.. Oh if only id bothered to check the sizing instead of relying on a guide :/. //fool.

Just bought a Pinnacle Pyrolite 2 from Evans, down from £1k to £600.

Not the best looking bike but discs, 105, proper guard mounts and the ability to run the wheels tubeless mean it should make a decent winter bike.

Just bought myself this, my first foray into anything with dropped bars....

Bit of a bargain I thought with £150 the RRP!
