From the same site.

A moment of madness, I bet he can't believe the loss of control.

God. She actually got back in her car, reversed to get a run up and then went for him. Look at what's left of his bike.

And if the woman hadn't reacted, is it still OK to go around kicking cars? No, it's not.
I don't buy into this, "one overreaction is understandable but another one isn't". If the cyclist had dusted himself down and thrown a grenade at the Audi would that have been ok? Because, you know, the Audi driver knocked him over.

Keep your reactions proportionate and calm, that way people are less likely do something stupid.
I have never kicked out but I did slap the side of a van when he passed me far to close. I didn't even have to extend my arm that far so it shows how lucky I was.

Being a 'Powerfully built director type' I gave it a massive smack. The tt never stopped so he knew he was in the wrong.

I don't think I would kick out though, more chance of damage being caused and then it could get nasty

I wonder what happened to him. Sentencing was yesterday according to that article, but there's google brings up nothing.

I've done that - gave a Clio i slap when he pulled across into my lane heading towards a roundabout where he was going to turn left. I genuinely thought he hadn't seen me and I was being squeezed into the kerb at about 25mph. It had the desired effect as he swerved back out again.

But stopping, getting off your bike, and then kicking a car is a whole different level of pre-meditated violence.

Yes we covered that.

One persons moment of madness was luck not to end someone's life, cyclist or someone in shop window.

"The court heard Pyne, whose children are seven, eight, ten, 12, 14 and 15, has another conviction for a road offence in 2009.

She was caught driving dangerously fast down the wrong side of a road by police, before being involved in a 60mph chase along a residential street in Brixton".

There's a person with major issues.

And yet the thread in GG about this still had people saying "Well, the cyclist must have provoked her", but him kicking the car was totally unprovoked... Ok...

Sometimes I worry that this kind of stupid cyclist hate (GG, and this woman, and the man the other day whos sentence changed from Dangerous driving to Causing death by after the victim dies in hospital) will make me one of the rabid angry cyclists, then I go and read road.cc's forums and realize they make me just as defensive about driving and that it's just that the Internet lets any halfwit post their angry views (Including me on occasion).

Good. This wasn't a moment of madness, it was a sustained period of madness and not the first one either.

Yup. Premeditated and deliberate. She deserves that.

Three years eh?

scratchchin

Time to sell my rifle and shotguns and buy an Audi I think. That appears to be the easiest way to get away with attempted murder these days.

Yet people still dont get that a two tonne car can be a leathel weapon.

Best of all you can't have a firearms certificate (licence) if you have been previously convicted for a violent offence or a history of drug abuse, alcohol abuse or mental health issues but you can still drive that two ton weapon.

Depending on the county, local bylaws and assessment by the Police.

How does a 31 year old with 6 kids, having the first one at 16 afford a Q7?
