Bit of a random one, was interested in how much to exhibit at a UK show like this costs? My impression (from various comments about the UK motorshow being expensive) is that it costs a lot to exhibit in the UK but obviously no info on their website.

I only ask is that a small 9sq metre stand at Roc d'Azur is around 1200 euros, which to my ears seems like a very good deal. Outdoor stands are more at about 3000 euros but again, this didn't seem to unreasonable. Wondering what the London tax is on this sort of thing?

The scuba diving show is on in another hall at Excel on the same weekend (on the same ticket I think), and charges £210 plus VAT per square metre, add £30/sqm for walls, carpeting, framework, etc. Minimum 2 x 1.5m.

Cheers, thanks for that. I assumed being a London show it wouldn't be cheap.

Roc works out at 130euro per sq for inside and 120 for outside.

It is a lot and as the UK shows are normally late in the year, the big US and European bike shows have long happened and the manufacturers et al rarely see the value in big stands at UK trade shows.

The feedback on the London bike show has never been great. I've been twice and I've always been underwhelmed.

Also, per square meter costs are just a starting point. Worth looking at the over all costs which should include, staffing, travel, accommodation etc etc.

Yeah Roc d'Azur and stuff like Eurobike time nicely for all the coming years kit to be shown.

Never been to the London show or the one at the NEC, I assume that one being in September is a little more attractive and being in Birmingham might make it cheaper (wishful thinking?).

I went this year to the London Bike show and was very underwhelmed, non of the big manufacturers were there, no bargains to be had the Motorbike show was happening at the same time and looked much more fun.

As one of the major manufacturers i often have my sales team asking me if we can exhibit.

I can employ one of them for the year or go to a show for 3 days!

We sell through IBDs so going to a show means we can't sell direct, so you won't see the bargains other posters would like.

It is a thorny issue every year, I don't see my decision changing in 2016
