So what events are people looking to enter next year?

I'll be doing a few of my favourites, but changing direction a bit and entering a triathlon.

Celtman Extreme Tri
Dyfi Enduro
Swiss Epic again hopefully

I'd like to try and get back to Italy and do another Gran Fondo as well, but looks unlikely.

And if anyone is entering any of the events I organise I'll give you a thumbup

Already entered Bontrager 24/12 for 2016, doing a 12h solo again.

Planning on entering:
Torq in Your Sleep 12h solo
Southern XC Series
Gorrick 100
Brighton Big Dog
Ride London - if I manage to get a ballot place this year!

I'll probably enter one or two other events like the Gorrick races depending on if I'm off on the weekends they're running and whether or not I can be bothered to closer to the time.

Technically Round #3 of the Brass Monkeys series is in January, so thats 2016!
I will also do some more XC races across the year, either Gorrick or maybe try the Southern XC ones, so that i see some new courses.

Nothing planned for the road bike, unless my buddy suggests doing L2B again.

Not cycling, but toying with the idea of doing a "Tough Mudder" event in May. Ive only started running recently (a few miles) and have virtually no upper body strength to speak of, so it would be a bit of a challenge for me...

Need to pull my finger out and do more in 2016, spent 2015 concentrating on kids so didn't do much of note bar keeping fitness to a decent consistent level

Just booked the White Horse Challenge Sportive, that takes in all my local hills, not normally one for local sportives (esp one that goes past my house and uses my commute!) but want something early to train for

I've booked in for the Dartmoor Classic Grande and am part of a team for the Revolve24 at Brands Hatch. Hoping to sneak in the Tour of Pembrokeshire too.

I'm in the ballot for Ride London.

I'll try for the Fred Whitton.

I'm off to the Alps for 4 days around Easter.

I'll be doing the local Club TT and maybe trying some Open events - potentially even doing a 25 or 50 mile event.

I may do some more crit racing but I'm still apprehensive due to not being good enough and the potential for crashing.

Finally, my CX bike will be back from Giant and so I'll be getting muddy again next Autumn and Winter biggrin

I'd forgotten about that one.
I'm entered in the 4h singlespeed category for it.

I did my first last year and I'm hooked too.

I may have got carried away entering things for next year, but by booking so far ahead there's much less chance that other people will decide for me what I'm doing those weekends..

22 May - Velothon Wales (Cardiff)
29 May - L'Albegoise GF (Albi)
05 Jun - Tour of Cambridgeshire GF (Peterborough)
19 Jun - GF Sportful Dolomiti (Feltre)
10 Jul - Etape du Tour (Megeve)
17 Jul - La Leggenadria Charly Gaul GF (Trento)
31 Jul - Rad Am Ring (Nurburgring)

Only a couple of MTB events this year, turns out I prefer it to road rides.

2nd June - Tuscany trail adventure ride

Might do 1 or 2 of the Scott MTB Marathons as well, but haven't decided yet.

Big Dog, that is one for my list - so long as the date fits.

That is the one I did. Loved it!
Pretty hard, almost on a par to the old Marmotte course - but not quite as hard as the new Marmotte course.
But the Italian event just had a little something to it that even La Marmotte doesn't have.

Another one in the ballot for Ridelondon and hoping to get in the Fred.

May do an MTB event next year, haven't done one before. Think my old Boardman might die on me any minute though!

Would have entered the Dartmoor Classic again, but it is only a month after the Fred, which will be 2 or 3 nights away for me, so couldn't push her indoors any further...

Cyclocross till 23rd January, then the cannock winter classic.

Looking forward to the dates for the nutcracker mtb series and the yorkshire cyclocross summer series coming out, and the norfolk summer cyclocross series.

Probably do Mayhem again.

Bryan Chapman Memorial (600km) in May
Sadly I'll miss the Velothon Wales the following week due to a lack of passes
Tour of Cambridgeshire in June (favourite event of 2015)
Transcontinental Race No4 in July/August
Revolve24 at Brands Hatch in September (depending on how I feel post-TCR)

I may do a few organised audax events in the first half of the year too.

A few of us at work are doing our own fund raising event for a work colleague in his mid 20's suffering with cancer...

In January 2016 were Biking from our work place in Crewe Cheshire to Blackpool pleasure beach... ( he's a big roller coaster nut, hence to Blackpool )
Only 76 miles but a few of the lads ain't been on a bike for years...
Should be fun...

Probably start with some early-season circuit races, but mainly focussing on road racing. Tipped my toe in the water but mostly focussed on endurance stuff in 2015, including a 7-day stage race across the Alps.

First aim is to get my 3rd Cat and take it from there.

Tour of Wessex for me this (next) year.

Fair play to the OP doing Celtman et al... My colleague at work did the Otillo last year and is somewhat intimidated by the Celtman!

I'm not sure I'll be able to resist going for the Fred Whitton again as I really enjoyed it this year, but I do want to concentrate on fellrunning instead so that'll be it as far as organised events go.

High Terrain Events Winter Duathlon Series, A bit of a cop out as it starts tomorrow, but there's two rounds in Whinlatter and a round in Grizedale next year.

Nutcracker.

Strathpuffer.

YCCA Summer Series.

Three Peaks Cyclocross.

Clif 'Cross off road sportive.

Mills Hills offroad sportive.

Brian Robinson Sportive.

Ronde Van Calderdale.

Colne Valley Mountain Bike Challenge.

Pennine X.

YCCA Winter League.

Plus whatever else takes my fancy. Any spare weekends usually involves some sort of fell running, just to keep active...
