Wiggle CX Sportive Chilterns Wildwood CX Sportive in February 80km with my 14 year old son
Childrey Spring Classic 60 mile in March
Aberdovey bike ride 3 day, Brecon Beacons, up Wales to Wolverhampton then across to Aberdovey plus riding to and from the start and finish (600 miles over 5 days including epic climbing)
Etape
Ride London subject to ballot
I did the 3 day Aberdovey ride this year and it was a great event, although it was a different route (Penrith to Aberdovey). Unfortunately I missed entering it for next year as it sold out in 4 days. Will do the friday from Wolves to Aberdovey though
I did that one too, really good.

My son is joining us for the Friday too, he'll be 15 then.

Ride London (Ballot) Had a guaranteed injury place from last year but forget to complete in time so back in the mix again.

Might give a couple of the Adventure Cross events a go, Moors & Shores and Monster miles maybe.

Possibly L2B as I can do with my nephew as it seems to be the only thing he's allowed to do being 16.

Wouldn't mind joining a couple of PH team things either tbh.

I'll be doing my first 10 mile ITT next weekend, and taking it from there. If I like it, probably a few more. Maybe look at some 25 mile ones too.

And probably the local Jag/Sky Ride Like a Pro, although I'm unlikely to be picked for the Final again.

I'm booked in for the Tour of Cambridgeshire but this has just popped up on my radar.

Laps of the TT course bounce

The only downside is I've got to have major surgery on my ear with a long recovery period. If not this year then definitely next!

That looked really interesting!

...Until I saw "Solo entry: £180" (for the 24 hour) and "Roads will not be closed so there will be the added challenge of traffic and especially motorbikes on the mountain section..".
idea If the roads are going to be open, then we could save ourselves £180 each and just go ride round anyway...

How about a PH team trip rather than the organised event? I just can't see the value in paying that sort of money to go round on open roads. Even the 3-lap sportive is £55.

More fun if a few of us just pitched up one weekend to take on the TT course. And just think of the post-ride recovery beer fund we'd have with the savings...

A colleague is looking to do the Wiggle organised Exmouth Exterminator, (standard 76 miles) and has asked me to join him.

It's a late season (October) one, so I'm probably going to join him. Helpfully, it looks like it goes pretty close to my house, so I can drop in for a slash if I need to.

If I was doing it just for me, I'd do the longer course, but he needs to be a bit more realistic.

Sounds interesting! Ahh, 6k feet so 1950m. 650m per 60k lap, flatter than Brands.

Ah, feet. I read it as meters, too. paperbag

Should have realised, I knew they called it "the mountain" but...

Yeah, but I bet you're well practised with headwinds, quartering headwinds and crosswinds. And especially used to all three at once!

Got my spot confirmed for Raid Pyrenees for the early part of September, so that's approximately 750km and 18 Cols in 4.5 days. Should be good fun. In the meantime, I may have a crack at the Everest Challenge sometime in March.

Well my first race of the New Year has been cancelled, not so much because the course was waterlogged, more the parking field was also waterlogged.
Going cross country running on Sunday instead.

Bike racing starts this year on the 10th January instead, with the Kielder Duathlon.

I'm entered on the alpine challenge in June and I've got my confirmation of entry on the Haute route Alps. 800km 23000m climbing in 7 days. I am actually a little apprehensive, at 85kgs, I'm not exactly built for cols! But I'll be hell of a trip.

Me, now sat waiting for entries to open, it stops out quick last year. Planning on riding my sscx hopefully on file treads if it's dry and firm enough.
