Has anybody else had issues with running TrainerRoad on a Mac? I use the Mac as already had a USB Ant+ dongle.

I have experienced the app crashing a number of times and freezing during workouts. I've been in contact with TR's support and in fairness they have been pretty good. They have told me to use the legacy app until they have resolved the issues.

Just joined the team, done Peavine last night though I tend to ignore the individual leg sections.

Getting back into Trainerroad after using Zwift for a while and trying to get back into some sort of form!

Welcome. Some decent numbers you have there.

I've tried giving you Admin rights but unfortunately not.....oh and your records have been reset to zero.

Just joined the team. Did my first workout in about 8 month last night (Avalanche Spire) and will get in a couple more before retesting.

Aiming to get FTP over 3w/kg - my climbing sucks.

Very good numbers from my fat perspective.

Worked OK on my macbook last night (traineroad Version 1.0.0.22583). It does take forever to startup (complete with spinning beachball)

Gave Fiske a go last night, harder than it looks! Had to dial the intensity back a bit for the last interval, was my third relatively hard one in a row. I was feeling a twinge in my calf which makes me think my saddle is a bit high after fiddling about with the height.

Well that was....productive.

English first up....and it hurt a fair bit to be honest. I remember thinking, before starting, "8 mins recovery between sets!?"....but I'm glad it was. I edited the workout using the workout creator to make the recoveries 40% instead of 30%, then added some intervals from Fang Mountain on....I didn't want to do too many TSS (I had a target of 130) so after the 3rd interval I just did a tad more and then a bit of a warm down.

I was feeling quite tired after the 127% efforts though, as I'm really quite a weak rider when it comes to the anaerobic stuff.

First ride tonight on my new plan - Sill

Absolutely smashed it (well by my terms!) Managed to range between 100 & 110% FTP

Quit happy with that :-)

Well done. May I be the first to say your FTP almost certainly needs adjusting wink

Thanks :-)

My last FTP test was only done two weeks ago.......I'll do the the remainder of the first week of the plan and will then re-evaluate.

Next week isn't great from a work perspective and having loads of free time in the evenings......

Plus I'm planning a 50 at the he weekend!

Well a FTP of 262 based on the 8min test, pacing has improved after the first build block but I struggled to find a cadence to suit 300w 80rpm was too slow and the next gear to high. I did fiddle with tyre pressure and resistance of the TT before hand. No more excuses!

Slight sniffle and leg felt a little sensitive around the knee but my previous guess of 270 was and is pretty good. Of to Euro Disney now back Wednesday so may repeat it after a few days off.

I think I am better suited to 20mins of a lower intensity or maybe the first two anaerobic blips fked me up!

I completed my 2nd 8 min FTP this evening and I paced it a lot better then my 1st 8 min test 4-5 weeks ago and a whole lot better than my 20 min test at the weekend. I'm happy with my new FTP (212 up from 190), think i could of given it about 3-5% more across both 8 min blocks.

Don't think I'll ever get to the heady heights of 250+

I reckon mine was 190-200 when I started riding 4 years ago, peak was 295w 20mins last year with no structured training just doing 7k km a year riding at 80-85% perceived efffort at the time! 250 I am sure is achievable.

Thanks, hopefully that will be the case.

Providing I can get around the Dragon Ride (230km) in June without too much pain, I'll be happy.

Never say never, I'm just an average cyclist who mainly rides with the middle group in my club, I'm just trying to do my best and see where I get too. I started on 271 back in November and I have been quietly suffering on an FTP of 300 for the last the last couple of weeks!!

When I changed my FTP five weeks ago I soon started to think that I had managed a blinder of an FTP test and I wasn't really at that level! I have since worked out that trying to lose weight as the same time as beasting yourself on TR requires a delicate balance. I probably wasn't consuming enough calories the first 2.5 weeks and I was just suffering from a lack of energy! The last couple of weeks have been much better, It's fair to say theres still been a lot of suffering, but I've been able to hold out until the end of the session without losing my speed or cadence!!

Todays session 'Kaweah' was the last big effort before Kentish Killer on 26 February. I have a local 75 mile reliability ride on sunday and then it's a very easy week leading up to the sportive. Then it's 13 weeks until the team time trial at the Cambridge grand fondo so I'll be looking to do a build and specialty phase to take me up to that. I'll probably be just doing some low volume workouts as I'll be looking to do some local TTs over the coming months to get used to working at threshold on the road.

Cheers
