Some chav on a BMX style bike (he must have been in his 30's) shouted as he passed going the other way 'what've you got your f'ing light on for'. Becuase I want to, what's it got to do with you was my reply.

I know, cool story bro but there must be others who've had weird random things happen out on a ride?

Dog walkers usually shout slow down or look at you with disgust despite using the bell and slowing to snails pace

This particular path (old railway line) has Bike and pedestrian signs all Over it along with signs saying "please respect other path users. cyclists, please use your bell and be heard" however, the looks from most pedestrians are deadly (passing slowly!)

There are no lights in the morning so it is actually really difficult to see people in the pitch black even with very good front lights (0545am), hardly awake! Most people have lights for walking around or on their dog but plenty don't. Only costs £1/2!

God* gave you a finger in the middle of your hand for situations just like this. A verbal reply was not necessary.

It's not often you bump into a Turner Prize winning famous artist bloke, on his MTB, but this happened on Saturday, he tagged along with us for a bit before going off down a hill to where he was staying. Pretty random. It's weird because I actually recognised a celebrity, I'm usually rubbish with this type of thing.
