I've had my licence revoked due to sleep apnea, so need another way of getting to the station. After having spinal surgery i put on a hell of a lot of weight so am very unfit at present.
Looking at the possibilities of getting one of these. Reading up on the ride to work scheme with discounts off tax etc it's not much more than converting one of my exisiting bikes.
Ride to station is around 7 miles, mostly down going an up coming back including a long steep hill of around 2 miles.
I like the look of it, looks much nicer than most. Far less obviously and eBike than most. With use i should lose wieght an increase fitness fairly rapidly i would hope.

Anyone got / tried one? Or other suggestions around the same price or less. Must look decent, not like most the monstrosities.

I have a Trek 603, Claud Butler Cape Wrath, Kona Fire Mountain and an ancient Raleigh Rapide from around 83, (owned from new).

There's a good forum at pedelecs.co.uk and there are review pages of bikes there, and it would be worth a look before you jump. There a many better bikes than the getch.

Hi
Depends on where your scheme can be used, but various brands available at Halfords in that price bracket ..
