I'm guessing the titanium isn't really worth it.

I mean it's a lot of money for not even a kg of weight saving!
Not really, but it looks great, especially with a raw laquer finish.
I'd have to disagree . Why replace raw lacquer with a titanium rear end @ vast cost? The weight saving is mostly due to no pump with titanium..

Surely demic's referring to the original shifters? The new ones are integrated with the brake levers and feel higher quality than the trad style.
Yes the original shifters, apologies that I didn't really make my self clear in my post. Sounds like the new ones are a marked step up.

I've only got a two speed and thought the shifter was ok.

I do prefer the 2-sp shifter to the 3-sp on the other bar. It's nicely balanced so you can flick the derailleur across intuitively. The 3sp is much like any olde worlde Sturmey-Archer shifter.

Personal opinion, let's agree to have different tastes. thumbup (You're right about the weight saving though.)

On the subject of gears, I had a rear puncture on my Brompton yesterday. After finally purchasing the correct inner tube and refitting the wheel and derailleur, it would not go into the lower gear. A short YouTube video later and shifter tension adjusted and derailleur indexed and now working perfectly smile

It's so simple, once you know, right? Make sure you double check the bolts holding the wheel on a couple of times over the coming weeks. Don't ask how I know. eek

I have no experience buying from these guys, but they were helpful when considering a seatpost alternative to the telescopic one I have. They said they could do a single piece to any length, but went a bit quite when I gave them the length I gave them the measurement. I use the whole range of a telescopic, so they may have thought I was taking the piss.

Note to self, when repairing puncture make sure to check for glass imbedded in the tyre!

Preaching to the converted, I'm sure, by posting this here; but Onyourbike in Birmingham have 15% off stock 2016 model Bromptons (not black edition or other limited editions), and more off ex-demo models. Runs until 3 December.

She's finally arrived. Already smitten. She's a S6L. With the 8% front cog.

What a giggle to ride. Been a while waiting but worth it. Feels not far off the pace of my road bike that said strava says otherwise lol.

It's just the tonic I nreded after a mountain bike crash and broken hands have sapped my enthusiasm for cycling. Its back now. Might even grow a hipster beard....not.

Mine is my favourite bike and I've just spend 2k on a carbon BMC.

Ooh, a toolkit biggrin I had a play with one and want it, even though it's ludicrously expensive for what it is.

I joined a new company today and one of my first acts will be to sort myself another C2W voucher.

Seriously thinking about a Brompton.

Will update here as and when!
