It's the time of the year where it's getting too hot to wear typical commuter gear.

I have a rack and panniers now so I won't need my ruck sack.

Time for some t'shirt ideas.

Obvious ones or better still...

...alternatives.

I've ordered a hairy manbeast one and after one that looks like it's covered in blood. hehe

Think you'd be painting a bullseye on your back with those.

I don't bother with high vis 90% of the time. Just wear normal "active" clothes (mainly merino t-shirts), and use bright lights for visibility.

I got one of these a few weeks ago:

http://www.banggood.com/WOLFBIKE-Mens-Cycling-Jers...

It's alright, sizes up a little bit bigger than normal.

I like some of their stuff but it's American sizing and two month delivery. I ordered a blue face mask balaclava so I could be Sub-Zero at Halloween and it arrived in time for Valentines Day. hehe

To be fair, mine came a bit quicker, perhaps about 10 days. I paid a few pence more for insurance, but the cheapest delivery option they had.

American sizing is correct.

This...

...is either brilliant or terrible.

I'm also looking for padded cycling shorts that don't look like cycling shorts. So I can get off my bike and walk into a pub. wink

MTB shorts then. Or any padded undershorts with normal shorts over the top that don't flap too much.

Me too. Anything with pictures like that on will make someone think you are a preachy aggressive cyclist, like those polite vests, even if all you mean is some light hearted fun.

Bright colours in blocks are what I go for. Red, yellow, light blue. Patterns or dark colours are going to hide you. Retro reflective stuff works very well, but only in the dark. No need for highlighter high viz colours at all.

My hairy fat man t'shirt arrived today. I'll give a road test tomorrow as Sunday's are usually quiet. wink

On the high viz comment. I think people are becoming immune to it. So many people wear high viz around, from dog walkers and workers to random people who talk to you on trains about Europe. High viz has become the new combats. hehe

The hairy man t'shirt worked really well with oncoming traffic. Smiles, waves, "OMG", "WTF" and even a blown kiss or two. Other cyclists thought it was bonkers and I had to explain to a few people it was a t'shirt and why. hehe
