Hardtail MTB for around £1k?

I've got one of these and whilst I don't have many prior bikes against which to judge it, I love it and having subjected it to all sorts of hamfisted abuse on trails I cannot fault it. Do a deal on this one if you can. The only change I am planning on mine is to try tubeless but apart from that it is perfect for what I do which ranges from canal paths to Aston Hill (regularly, but very very slowly and with lots of nervous giggling). Whytes have already been mentioned, but I'd also suggest looking at the Bird Zero, they're a direct delivery brand, similar to Canyon, but smaller and British.

I'm thinking about it myself, got a couple of bikes to sell before I can go hard tail shopping though. Even at 1600 the 905 RS is getting a look in. If I could buy this week I'd have a lightly used one without giving it a second thought.
