I have a 2010 Specialized Allez Sport

Has an Octlink shimano BB

looking to upgrade the whole groupset to a Tigara or 105 and would like to make it a hollowtech BB

any advice?

I suspect due the era of the frame it may need facing.

I had to use a Praxis converter upgrading from BB30 to hollowtech. Make sure that you have the right one though. Evans advised me to get one which happened to be the wrong one which has ended in the thread of my crank arm to shear off, leaving it attached to my shoe but not my bike.

Should fit straight on from this pic off a review, looks like a std 68mm English BSA shell.

From this review. Yes a triple but the frame will be the same.

Facing should not be necessary. Just spin the cups on with the right spanner. Don't do up the preload cap on the NDS crank arm too tight.

It shouldnt need facing. I stuck one on a 2008 Spesh Tricross triple..no issues, sweet as a nut .

Best practice would involve facing the bottom bracket shell, but you´ll probably be alright without it.

You´ll need the installation tool and ideally a torque wrench for the non-drive side crankarm bolts.
