Planet X have good discounts on Knog lights at the moment. I have the R70 rear which is plenty bright enough.

Front dynamo hub and then permanent DRLs?

That's my set up!

I have one of these

Flare R

which has a bright daytime flash mode I use on fast A roads, and other less bright and steady settings for use in towns or at night. Is good.

Lezyne Micro Drive, has day and night modes; a short press to turn on gives night mode which you can cycle through flash, fast flash, pulse (glows to brightest and then dims to off repeatedly) and on. hold the power button for 5 seconds and you get daytime mode which doubles the output (halves the runtime) and has on or flash modes.

Night mode on flash, fast flash or pulse will get you 6 hours runtime advertised, I've seen 8+, steady halves it.

I use this one attached to my helmet - can be seen from miles away.
Depending on where you ride though - it is very bright - no good for a group ride - you lose friends quckly

I rode the Exposure south downs night ride and you could see guys 10/15 miles away ( I was at the back LOL). Ive followed others with them on the bike when Ive been driving and found them effective.

OP,

Planet x have some great offers on right now.

The 2 LED one is bright as f*ck! 2 quid.
The 1 LED one is bright and has more modes.

A 2 LED-er on the seatpost and 2 of the 1 LED ones on the chainstays is a perfect triangle of visibility, for 5 whole quid.

I also have a bunch of the knog style ones which are really useful to have for "get me home" at night, but are pretty useless in daytime.

Also use one of these, been through loads of different lights in the past few years and this has been the best so far....

That Planet X rear light is an amazing bargain, I have had one the same and it's extremely bright even in the day. Plus for that price just get 2 and have them on different modes!

I use an exposure blaze mk1 rear light. Utterly fantastic light and offers much better battery life when compared to the TraceR

The booster one is poor.

I bought 4 a couple of years back. Went out and bought a smart 1 watt instead. The phart just isn't bright enough
