It’s written! The final instalment is now published and the last 600km weren’t short of drama.

There is already a new thread for the Trans Am. I can’t easily link to it in the phone but you’ll find it in Pedal Powered. I’m committed to writing up this race in good time.
The Achilles are in much better shape now. I’ve changed shoes and have my cleats nice and far back. Not fully mid-sole but I’m not expecting any Achilles issues from this course. It’s much less vicious than the TCR (slightly less climbing despite being almost double the distance).

It’s been an impressive ride and ridden ‘like a girl’. By that I mean she’s ridden a measured, disciplined and metronomic race. She never looked like she was under any pressure and entirely rode her own race. That’s the fastest way but very hard to do in reality.
Amazing that she’s just 24 too. Seems a new generation of racers has arrived and the average age of the winners is definitely coming down.
