Your longest ever solo ride?
Discussion
Went out on Friday and put 285km / 185m onto the odometer for my Cannondale. Annoyingly, my Garmin hasn't recorded Spalding - Louth so I've had to drop in a 75km top-up to track mileage within Strava. Followed the route to the letter, with the idea of moving out of London and heading out via Loughton to emulate the LEL2017 route. Overall I'm estimating around 13:00h moving time, with 1:30h of stationary for breaks I had throughout.

The longest unbroken ride (without sleep) is 660.8km on Day 1 of the TCR https://www.strava.com/activities/659194674blog write-up
A close second and definitely tougher was the final day at 546.7km https://www.strava.com/activities/676752265 It'll be a while before I get to that write-up but t's quite ridiculous and rides don't get much tougher! 4 weeks later and my physio tells me I still have 4-6 weeks before I can ride again, if it goes well.
I'm not sure if the whole race qualifies as a single solo ride but that was 3,800km. Most of them hurt quite a lot. The first three days of write-ups are already live and the others will be following over the next couple of weeks at The Adventure Capitalist.

No. I'm not finished yet
I haven't decided what I'm going to do next but I'm likely to continue with ultra-distance. I need to spend some time looking at what's out there. I think stuff around 1,000km-1,500km could be good for me, in between the bigger stuff. The WOW Cyclothon (1,300km lap of Iceland) is on the radar. Maybe a LEJOG. Mersey Roads, if I can get onto a TT bike soon enough. We'll see.

99 Miles on the fixed gear solo. https://www.strava.com/activities/20050180
Or if solo just means not drafting anyone, does this 232 mile ride count? https://www.strava.com/activities/3331484

Nothing as impressive as some of the distances mentioned previously, but Me and three others did Nordegg in Alberta to Edson via Jasper on 1980's mountain bikes with knobbly tyres and carrying big old canvas tents and other bits and bobs.
According to Google maps that's 470km in 5 days.
Saw a bear too!!

All being well I'll be cycling solo from Portishead to Swansea on Saturday. I'm going to be following NCN4 so it should be 107 miles. The wife and kids are leaving at 15:30 and my plan is to leave early in the morning and beat them there...
So they are setting out at 15:30, and you hope to beat them to the destination by setting off earlier... Cunning plan, I like it!Maybe sprinkle some drawing pins en route to further slow them down?
Last year I did 3 x 80ish mile loop unsupported. No stops (apart from traffic lights!)
Then a I did the London Cycle Sportive 100miler (Dulwich Park to Surrey and back to Herne hill velodrome) Again no rest or food stops.
Then like many did an IM. So 112 Miles.
And to think. Id struggle to do 25 miles about now. Furthest I've ridden since January is probably about 6 miles round trip to the shops

They'll be driving so I need all the help I can get! My eldest was keen to cycle too but she's not done more than ten miles (she's nine) so I told her she could come on the next one.Maybe sprinkle some drawing pins en route to further slow them down?

I didn't quite make Swansea but got picked up at Margam Park some 13 miles short. I left later than intended as the weather was crap and it was supposed to improve. It didn't so all that achieved was to put me two hours behind schedule. I hadn't really planned my route other than intending to follow NCN4 but some of the signage was useless and some was non existent. My total distance was 100.8 miles of which 6 was getting lost... This more than the broken spoke, the sogginess of my feet and my lack of decent lights was what made me ask for a lift from the wife for the last bit. When you've done 120km this isn't the sort of route you should be aiming for: Still enjoyed myself though and will do it properly next time when I'll know the way and can also avoid the really rough bits that did for my spoke. Might be a bit faster too without the constant stops!
I've done a couple of 400km solo rides, this is the most recent. 400km is verging on sleep deprivation for me!
