Planet X road bikes?
Discussion
just got all my fibanchi sale stuff, ordered last Saturday
bet their pickers are rushed off their feet, loads of people put in big orders of small things!
Got some right bargains
Delivery was slow, but I expected it, really happy with what I got
Wiggle propper messed up 2 x orders for me this week, although they did sort quickly when i told them

^^^ In case I came across wrong - I was trying to suggest that PX should just manage expectations from the get go. Most negative things you read about PX, Ribble, Canyon etc etc is "I was expecting delivery date x but it turned out to be several multiples of x".
They could even put an option on - "this is the fibbonaci sale, it's cheap as chips, very popular and so delivery is about 2 weeks. If you're in a rush for it, click this box and we'll do it quickly. £5".
Much better than "Royal mail, 1-3 days" (which now I think about it only says the shipping time, not the dispatch date!)

Anyone got any thoughts or in fact owns one of the new(ish) Planet X Titanium bikes?
I'm very tempted by either the Typhoon or the Tempest.
2k for a titanium frame, Ultegra and hydro discs seems good value to me.
I own an One-On Pickenflick - (On-One are the MTB arm of Planet-X). I paid about £1500 for the SRAM Force 1x11 model last December, when Planet-X had a sale on. So far I have ridden 2500Km and my only issue was worn out rear wheel bearings - probably due to lots of off road riding in very wet conditions...I'm very tempted by either the Typhoon or the Tempest.

I got a new Planet X Tempest a couple of months ago. the new "v2" frame that can take larger tyre clearances. Got a "fully loaded" edition on offer for just under 2k that had Force 1 HRD, carbon post, carbon aero bars, ti-railed saddle. Love it. Couldn't find any pics/reviews of it before I bought it, so thought I'd share for others looking in they're considering it. Some pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wyllie/albums/721576...
I've got a few of their bikes.
Never had any trouble and the in store service has always been brilliant. Try and get a bike fit thrown in, though.
When I bought my TT bike, they agreed to a Retul bike fit FoC. It is all computerised and they'll give you the numbers so you can translate that to a Watt bike, etc.
More importantly though, they have all the components so they can swap out stems, etc right there and then, so there's no guess work.
