SRAM X0 install / removal help.

Hi,

We removed my mates SRAM X0 crank earlier today to fit a smaller chainring but had difficulties With the reinstallation - we've tried google, YouTube etc. but they only seem to show guides for the systems with the 8mm writhin the 10mm nut.

The ones we have have a 10mm both sides with the drive side being the one to remove that self extracts, the other side has a 10mm hex but says do not remove.

On reinstallation we have torqued it to 54 Nm but have ended up in lateral movement / end float.

It has a preload system on the non drive side, we have tightened this which stops it but after a while this works loose.

We have about 2mm of play, looks like it could do with a shim but we didn't take any out.

Any thoughts?

Currently in the middle of the Peak District - may have to find a shop somewhere in the Hope Valley if anyone has any recommendations?

The X0 I have on my bike has the 8mm/10mm self extract so is different to yours but always required a bit of persuasion for the axle to go all the way in. The problem was obvious as the NDS crank wouldn't go on properly. This is on a GXP BB
