Based on my experience Leith from the south is more satisfying, plus you don't have to put up with the numpty drivers who use a Box Hill as hill climb practice.... :-)

You'll be fine, it' short.

I did the Col de Joux Plane back in June as my first foray in the alps, after that everything else looks flat!

Ive been up the Col de Joux Plan with a mate on his bike.......I was support in an 18 seater mini bus LOL.
