Garmin edge 1000 not automatically uploading rides
Discussion
My 1000 uploads automatically about once every 15 rides.
Works ok via Bluetooth on my phone.
If I connect it to a PC most times it'll upload automatically via Garmin Connect but occasionally I have to upload the activity file manually.
Sadly it seems that Garmin hardware & software is basically just ste (this is my 4th 1000, the other 3 have all failed).
At least they're cheap...

I'd agree with those posts. When working well, the Edge 1000 really is a fantastic piece of kti, but the software seems a bit suspect.
It's still not uploading via WiFi, yet works absolutely fine when I connect it to my phone via bluetooth. It's far from the end of the world, but it is a little irritating when you have ane xpensive piece of kit not doing something it is said to be able to do.

Normally by the time i have saved the ride and am putting the bike away it will peep to let me know the ride is updated.
I have ran the same unit since 2013, one of the first on the market, with only the Garmin rubber surround for protection. It regularly gets used in some pretty miserable weather and touch wood has been fine to date.
Mate of mine has had one discounted replacement from Garmin which I would say is cheapish. You wouldn't want to be buying a new one very often.
Main gripe of mine is having to take the battery out of the speed sensor as it continually fails to turn off.
