Anyone with a Thule towbar bike rack might want to have a good check where it clamps on the tow ball,if it's starting to get loose on it it may have cracked.

Thule doesn't stock this part, they did put me in touch with a lad that has some spares though.

Wow, good shout. Thanks, I'll check mine out.

What's the story behind Thule not stocking the part but someone else doing so?

Thule say its an integral part of the arm and rack and do not stock as a spare, i googled the main customer service guy and it was him that put me in touch with this lad(steve) that stocks other parts for them,as soon as i told him what rack it was he told me the part i was after as its not an uncommon fault and a weak point of the rack.

I had already welded it up the back of the plate while i was waiting on the new part arriving, its a 5 min job to change these out.

You would have thought if thule know about these they would send out an email telling you to check the part for stress.

If anyone needs this lads number for parts drop me a pm

cheers
