What did you go with in the end? I'm considering the Felt AR2, which does have the reversible seatpost, for use in triathlons with clip-on bars. Curious to know what you decided, and how you found it?

I've not done much about it yet and my 2017 goals have shifted a little. I have done a few TT-like sessions out on the road and tweaked the position as a bit of a compromise (favouring road setup). The saddle is as far forward as it'll go and tipped down a degree. The TT position is a little stretched out but it's tolerable for a 10 at least and, in reality, I won't be doing enough to warrant changing it from a road setup. I do think I could get pretty close on the Aeroad though.

I'm looking for a solution for my S5 to do a triathlon this year. I can't just add clip on's because of the shape of the handlebar, so need to actually replace the handlebars altogether just to add clip on's!

Has anyone ever gone with full aero bars on a road bike? I Phillip Graves did it on an S5 before, so if I'm going to the trouble of changing and rewiring I might as well plump for the complete set up!

There is a way round that. Use a Profile Design Lightning Stryke clip-on and a Lava or Hammer stem.

Clipons attach to the stem, not the bar.

Thanks for the suggestion - and looks like it could solve this threads issue of fit, as it brings the bars closer to the saddle.

However, are they available still?

Good point, they may require some tracking down. USA Amazon/eBay would be my starting point.
