Just in case anyone was looking for a pair of wheels around Zonda budget. Looked at these before when they were at full price and thought they looked good (cycling weekly have them too marks) but at £250 with tyres these are a bit of a bargain. Only available until tonight though!

Too narrow internal and external width, light though I would pay a bit extra for a few extra spokes and tubeless compatibility.

Long lead in time and tubeless ready. https://www.huntbikewheels.com/collections/road-ri...

Or go and get another set of wheels from Malcolm at thecycleclinic.

As much as I'd like a pair of the new wider internal diameter wheels, my 4 year old Supersix can't take them. It can just about squeeze 25mm tyres in the fork. They get plenty good reviews and it'll give me another 12 or 18 months before I might consider an upgrade.

My SL4 SWorks also has tight clearances, still manage to fit 24.5mm wide rims with 25 wide tyres in. Although I am running 23 on the back. For that width rim I doubt you will get much better for the money.

I have a pair of the slightly shallower AR24 wheels.

Can't fault them, still as true now as the day I bought them a couple of years ago. They make a lovely whizz on freewheeling too smile

I've got an SL4 Tarmac with Archetypes running 25mm tyres and have loads of clearance, could easily take 28mm.

Yes the 25mm come up at 28mm on SL23 rims. Main issue isn't tyres but rim clearance just below the brake track.

OP where did you find out about the reduced price?

I'm after new wheels for next season and if these dropped to £250 again I'd probably go for them!

I got an email from Cycle Division as soon as the offer started, just subscribe to their mailing list. Usual get a couple of emails a month, they're not spammers.

Delighted with these. Roll better than my Aksiums and they seem more compliant too. Haven't done any serious hills yet but up to 35mph on a few descents and as stable as the Mavics

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how they climb; for the money, probably the best wheel out there and a proper steal at the reduced price. I've done nearly 10,000km on mine, so due for replacement, but a solid 10 out of 10.

Bizarrely, the free hub on my winter wheels packed up this morning (cxp22s) so the Aksium will probably be used instead.

I see the AR24 are down to £130 this weekend.

That's a super bargain considering they come with Continental tyres too.

Thanks for that, for winter wheels that's almost a no brainer. Will spend the spare cash on ultegra instead of 105 for the winter bike!

Tempted by the AR24s. Not sure what to do with them though. Could put them on my summer road bike which currently has the Shimano R500s, looks like it would be a decent upgrade?

Then put the R500s on my commuter Peugeot! biggrin No idea if they'd fit but it would liven it up from it's current wheels which are some older Ultegra hubs (6500??) on mavic open pro rims. Presume that would be a decent upgrade?

What are the tyre specs that come with these? I need some new tyres so could help justify it, was looking for some 28s for the commuter but there isn't any information on the site about tyres that come in the deal?

Conti Grandsport folding 25mm, it's on their homepage.

I'm quite tempted by the ar24 deal but they are really narrow rims! 19.4mm which goes well against the current vogue for wide rims. Not sure how they'll work with 25mm tyres?

Agreed, not going risk that narrowness and I am a tubeless convert now. Looks like Malcolm will be getting a few more quid out of me.

I decided to go for the AR24s earlier today as an upgrade on my Scott CR1 for next year.

Bizarrely i'm looking forward to the loud freewheel as well as the increase in performance biggrin
