Has anyone got any recommendations for a bike light mount that I could screw my existing lights to. It would need to clamp them in place so that I don't spend most of the ride checking where the hell they're pointing (like I do now). But then it would need to be quick release so that I can take them off and charge them.

Currently running a Lezyne 600xl and 300xl up front and spend more time tapping them back into roughly where they're supposed to be pointing than looking where i'm going.

I use one of these, as I got fed up with the rubber bands on one of my lights.

I wrap insulation tape over the mountings to prevent them turning. I think all my rear lights have different shaped mountings anyway, so I'd think the chances of a universal one are zero.

It's not the the light turning in the mount, its the weight of the light making the whole thing rotate on the bars - those rubber mounts are useless. I recognise that every manufacturer makes their own mounts and none seem to be interchangeable. But I wondered if something like this:

...could be made to fit by drilling through the removable top plate (or using the hole that the screw is already in) then removing the rubber mounting stuff from the light, and then reusing the allen bolt and screwing the light directly to that plate.

My hope is that it would make it easy to remove and also to ensure when you put it back on, it sits in the right place and stays there.

However, I was hoping that someone else had done it and could confirm or deny its success.

How does the Hope one work?

I just roughed up the surface on the plastic light mount and on the hope mount, bit of plastic weld and bonded it together. Rock solid.

I ordered a couple of the Hope ones in the end.

Thanks for the link.

Will see how I get on. By the look of what people are doing onling, I might be able to make it fit my cheap Chinese Cree light.

Well they turned up quickly.

Looks like it was meant to be there.
