Bit drafty this morning, and tired legs from last night's efforts.

Glad to get in for a stretch and some porridge...

What a funny week! I was very warm on Monday and decided to retire my winter gloves when I arrived home, had them back on this morning as it was bloody freezing LOL.

Yes, less windy today, bright and clear, but so much colder that yesterday!
I had to un-hibernate the winter jacket, bib-tights, gloves and buff.

Cold this morning, so had to work extra hard to stay warm in my spring gear. (3/4 lengths, base, jersey and armwarmers.)

Quick getting home last night, but still no medals or trophies on Strava. Boo.

It was a lovely morning for a ride in! Looking forward to taking the long way home - I expect to find quite a few trees across the trails in the woods.

First day this year, new job. So 2 miles further, more hills.

Remembered all clothes and shower stuff, completely forgot gloves. Took three minutes to lock up the bike and remove computer when I got here because I had next to no feeling in my fingers...

After 3 yrs commuting on my early '90s steel roadbike, I am just home from my first commute on my 2011 Scott Speedster. It's a much easier ride all round, but mostly having the gears on the levers rather than the frame means I actually change gear. Which is novel.

Weather was great in Birmingham, a pleasant ride in and out.

1st day not commuting on the bike for a while today. A niggling sore wrist since my skiing holiday a couple of weeks ago turns out to be a broken arm! I've been riding daily until now and done about 120 miles on it. In plaster until it heals.

I am really appreciating the daylight in the mornings. It feels really nice to ride in the light. Still running my lights regardless as I can see that bigger trucks can see me better.

Working on my defensive riding. I am finding some drivers trying to squeeze past me at speed on certain corners, where its more than likely they'll punt me off. 20 zones but still they try... perhaps I need to take more room and then when past the dangerous bit pull back in?

Collect 10 man points for hairy chested cave-man antics, then heal up and get back on it when medically advised it is OK to do so. thumbup

Its difficult one to judge, I pull in and ride in gutter sometimes, if I am confident there is some run off to my left, or the car is going to give me some space

The condition of the road is poor and the condition of the gutter is even worse. Its actually hard to keep a straight line while being near it.

Very dangerous. So its a choice of dangers really. 20 mph zone so cars really shouldn't be flying past at that point.

I'll have to work it out.

Took the long way in this morning so I could throw a hill in. Really surprised at my change in attitude since I first started about a year and a half ago. Used to worry about the distance of my commute, now think nothing of making it longer or harder.

Flipping heck look at all those blades! Very good of you to stop and take the effort to clear them. Top man smile

On the way in today it was super windy! I poor chap got blown over waiting at the lights. I hope it calms down on the way back.

Seen some really fast older guys on my commute today. 50 somethings monstering every hill in to work and just clearing off. I can't wait until I can join them.

Those blades look like a large pile of nastiness.

Pleasant week this week, every morning has been bright, temperatures are up. Really makes for a nice way into work!

Did an 8am rather than 9am start this morning, so added knee warmers and a windproof gillet. Otherwise, this week has been shorts and short sleeve, with arm warmers in the morning.

It's coming... bounce

Rode home the long way on Wednesday in 16c sun with no wind.

Rode in this morning in 3c with a rather fresh head wind laugh

Goota love the Great British spring.
