Can anyone suggest a simple to use (by me and an 11 year old) programme to edit video off a basic Sony Handycam.
The handbook says a Sony Download: called Playmemories, but it won't download....

Ideally a free programme that allows him to cut out the crap and keep the bits he wants is all he needs. If there's a few other simple features all well and good.
Thanks

If you're using an Apple Mac, iPhone or iPad, then I highly recommend using the iMovie app for video editing which is very intuitive and easy to use.

Sorry but I can't help if you're using a Windows PC, though am sure there will be something similar on offer.

Movie Maker (free) from the Microsoft Store might be a place to start. It won't win you any awards, but it'll do a basic job.

yeah windows movie maker will do all the basic stuff, its not great but it is simple.

Anything else tends to get complicated fast
