End of an era now he's finally hung up his gloves from WC DH, but great vid from the last 2 years, and looks like more to come!

Last Orders

Don't think next season will be the same without Peaty, Rat boy and Stevie Smith!

Exactly, when I was first into MTB in my mid teens Steve Peat was the man. I got back into MTB in my 30's and he was still on the world cup circuit!

I may have shed a tear when he won at the Worlds a few years back. He was 'our' DH champ and one I'd followed through years and years since reading MBUK in the mid 90s.

I'm a face in the crowd when he's outside Sheffield Town Hall in this biggrin

Worth a watch, good little series. I've also grown up with Steve as a bit of a Hero.

A few years back, I graduated from Sheffield Hallam. At every ceremony a few people get honorary doctorates. I rest very getting the documents through for my ceremony and couldn't believe who was going to be there on the same day getting a doctorate for services to sport in Sheffield!
Sat and had a beer and a chat with him, top bloke, humble, deserves far more recognition than he gets for inspiring kids in putting back into the sport.

Yeah, same situation here, he sort of took the torch from JMC and Rob warner didnt he?!
