First ride out on it yesterday I got 8 PB's and made a few leaderboards , and it was very windy so happy with that , the bike is amazing it climbs so well
I think my Émonda must be defective, as despite being marketed as a lightweight "climber's bike" it doesn't go up hills very quickly at all. Sadly, although I've done all the trouble-shooting checks I can think of, there's no apparent reason for it. I think it must be a 'Friday Frame' or something. No other possible explanation...

My latest bike is my Ti Fixie commuter; it's around 6.5kg with Garmin Vector pedals.

What's the spec? I've just finished off the Cube with bouncy forks and it's come in st 12.5kgs, which tbh I'm slightly disappointed with. The 26er steel frame with same running gear was 10.5, which is what I was aiming for with the 29er Cube.

Ben, I didn't disbelieve you! I have an excel sheet for the 26er, but not for the 29er. As everything was the same or lighter except for the wheels, I didn't bother. Then I weighed it, to find it had gained 2.5kgs, I wondered how you had managed to get something 1/2 the weight of mine.

That looks lovely.
I was just thinking on my commute home tonight that it would be great to have a Ti Fixie frame with similar geometry to my Ti Tripster but I reckon it may be out of my price range. Steel is a possibility though....

I haven't weighed my carbon Boardman SLR nor my hefty Cannondale CAADX commuter but the others comes out as follows:

- Boardman CX Team (with 28mm Gatorskins) = 10.1kg
- Boardman Team TT (with some cheapish 55mm carbon wheels) = 9.2kg (originally 9.7kg)
- Cube Peloton (Shimano RS11 wheels) = 9.8kg

All with pedals on (Look Keo classic), a Garmin mount and 2x bottle cages.

Pretty much a boggo r5. Still with bottle cage and Garmin mount. Can't see me getting it any lighter.

I have a 2006 Litespeed Niota Al (the cheaper brother to the Ti model), bought as a bare frame and built up.
Forks are Rockshox SID Race (low end version) rebuilt to Worldcup spec (carbon uppers) with the latest XLoc compression damper and dual path rebound.
Shock is a fifth Element and is 190 (stock should be 200) to slacken out the headangle and drop the BB in line with modern practice.

The rest of the bike is decent lightweight kit but not top end, Formula R1s brakes, XT HTII cranks, XTR rear mech (M970) using a Tiagra flat bar shifter to convert to ten speed, 1x10 gearing with a Sunrace MX3 cassette, wheels are homebuilt using Stans Alpine rims, butted spokes and an A2Z front and Novatech rear hub.

Total weight is 10.15Kg.
