That's a big demo fleet!
You usually have 1-2 demos.
Not upto 10.
I've met the owner a couple of times (seems a nice enough chap) and he knows some of the people who ride in a little club I'm in, other than that I have no connection to the business. I've shopped for odd bits in their shop and they were nice to me when I crashed, helping evaluate my carbon casualty. I can't say how well demo'd these Bromptons are though. They do have 3 shops so I suppose the demo fleet could extend beyond the one or two.You usually have 1-2 demos.

That's a stonking deal. They are a bike where discounts don't really exist. Loads are bought through CTW schemes. http://us4.campaign-archive1.com/?u=3718c42b8f9524...
There's a Facebook selling page, don't think there are may bargains though!

A bloke on Shpock had an advert to buy Bromptons for around £400, he had a few for sale strangely at considerably more!

I was curious enough about the cheap Bromptons to go to the London Bridge store on the way home from work last night. I wanted to get a bottom bracket and the associated tool anyway and although I could have got them cheaper by pricematch in Evans I like to give my LBS some of my business. I live near their East Grinstead shop and we've had 3 LBSs shut down over the last year (Petra - Oxted, Brand - Crawley Down, D&C - East Grinstead).
The Bromptons are ex-demo, not hire, they said they had about half a dozen in London and a similar number at London Bridge hence the numbers on offer. They are an older model hence the liquidation (I gather in that the shifter design has recently changed, not due to reliability concerns but cosmetically I think the new version is less plasticky. They only had one to actually look at yesterday they said reduced from about £1200 down to £799, it was in great condition, I noticed a bit of a scratch on the top tube, but nothing too significant. The drive-train and tyres etc. all looked very clean, virtually a new bike. They said more stock coming down from Birmingham soon.
I have been keeping half an eye on Bromptons because I recently started cycling a portion of my 27 mile commute to partially escape Southern Rail. While trying the commuting out I've been using a £50 gumtree hybrid I leave locked up at the station. I could switch from doing that to carrying a Brompton about with me which would let me cycle between home and the station as well as work and the station and give me extra flexibility, but I'm still not convinced right now I want to be riding a small wheeler or carting it about.

If they're anything like the demo bikes at Brompton Junction, they'll be taken out for a spin for about 5 minutes to allow people to decide if S, M, H or P type bars suit them best. And to have a little try on the gears.
Before I got mine, I took three out from Brompton Junction and cycled about a mile in total.
I'd imagine they're a much better buy than a SH one from an ex-commuter that could potentially have done thousands of miles.
At that price I reckon they're a bargain.
